Gemmipass

FRESH AIR, hot thermal water and stunning surroundings are enough reasons for us to visit Leukerbad in about 1400 meters a.s.l. This small and quiet town has been known since the Roman times, yes even the Romans knew the therapeutic effect of the thermal water at that time. Later many British people travelled to benefit from the hot water, too. Today it is also great for ski tourists.

On our second day we went by cable car to Gemmipass, in 2240 meters height, for lunch. From the restaurant there is a fantastic view over Leukerbad and to some of the highest mountains like Dom, Dufourspitze (Monte Rosa) and Matterhorn! After returning to Leukerbad we relaxed in the thermal baths like the Romans.
