BERNEUSE, views and skiing, Switzerland

BERNEUSE is a mountain of just 2.048 meters, but with a fabulous 360° view to other surrounding mountains – even to Mont Blanc. Lake Geneva and the Swiss part of the Rhône Valley can also be admired from here. The Berneuse area, and of course Leysin in general, is a popular winter sports place for the whole family. A short trip by cable car from Leysin and we arrived a few meters from the new revolving (driven by solar panels!) restaurant, Le Kuklos, right on top of the mountain. We had a delicious lunch here, with local wine from The Badouxthèque in Yvorne, and at same time enjoyed the changing view during the 90 minutes it took for the restaurant to complete a turn 
We have only been here in the winter, but when the snow is gone, the Berneuse is a hiking and paragliding area, too. During summer, there is even a small domestic animals park.
