The Blue Lake
BLAUSEE, the blue lake, is situated in a huge (200.000 m2) car-free nature park by the river Kander. The lake is really small, but still a true gem. From the parking lot we walked through a mystery wood with huge rocks covered with moss, then arriving by the shore of the blue lake – beautiful – stunning – unreal… It must be seen. On the path around the lake there are lots of benches and wooden bridges with view points. Places for picnic, fireplaces and a playground is available as well as a restaurant and even a spa hotel. Behind the hotel there is an organic trout farm. A tour on a small boat with a glass-bottom is included in the entrance fee. The boring scientific explanation of the blue colour is just a filtration of light in the crystal clear water 🙂
