QUINTEN

Loading

This is a really a nice Sunday trip: QUINTEN is a very small village, situated by the north shore of the idyllic Walensee, right beneath the Churfirsten mountains. It is only reachable by boat or on foot. We went there by boat from Murg, the trip only takes a bit over 15 minutes. On this Sunday, after having lunch at one of the restaurants, we walked along the lake side and through the wine fields, the fig trees and the village, bought some local products in one of the small shops and visited the tiny church.
Many hiking trails runs through and from Quinten, one of them to the Seerenbach waterfall, actually being the highest waterfall in Switzerland! Along some of the trails, there are open fireplaces, including firewood so you can prepare your own sausages or soup.
