SCHWARZSEE by Zermatt, Switzerland

On our trip from Zermatt to Klein Matterhorn, and the Glacier Paradise, we took advantage of the option to stop at Schwarzsee (Black Lake) to make the short hike around the lake and see the beautiful little chapel of Maria zum Schnee. This stop is also the closest you get to Matterhorn (unless you are a real mountain climber), wow it looks a lot bigger here. Around the lake there is a good chance to spot some marmots.
